Over the last 3 years, I’ve had the opportunity to bring on board enough new landlords to realize that there is a big learning curve for them.

In addition to learning that they need to register as a landlord with their town to protect in the unlikely event of an eviction, many are also unaware that State Law requires a fire inspection with their town.

Then there are many items that improve their chances of getting and keeping good tenants. This can be anything from installing a deadbolt lock, to making sure there are no leaks or drips and confirming that all appliances are running properly (and without any weird noises)!

So I’ve decided to add a Landlord Resources section to the web site. I hope that you will think of this and Somerset Hills Property Management as a way to help your prospective landlords or those turning over a property. We’re here to help you help them and free up your time in the process.
