Don’t have time to watch the whole video? Here’s a summary: I am always getting questions about the market. Or hearing comments like, “there are so many more houses for sale this year, what’s up?” or “my neighbor’s house has been on the market forever, what’s wrong with it?” I can assure you that the Basking Ridge market is quite healthy. Our absorption rate is consistently between four and five months – a solidly balanced market. At this time last year, we had had over 300 closings. The same time period this year we are just under that number – indicating either fewer buyers or less inventory. The right answer depends on many things – the price range, the neighborhood, type of house, interest rates … Often the answer to “How is the Market” is depended on the answer to “What are your goals?”
