I can honestly say that this was one of my best years ever!  It started out very slowly but when it ramped up there was no stopping me!  I have more than a million thanks for my awesome partners: Gerry Light and Judi Jensen with whom I never would have made it through.  Additionally, all the buyers agents who brought their clients to my listings and so professionally helped us navigate through the transactions to mostly successful closings!  We dealt with appraisal issues and oil tanks.  We moved people across state lines – coming from Maryland, NY City and the UK!  Going to Texas, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and North Carolina.  We moved people from condos to single family homes and the other way around.  I made some great friends – one of the pitfalls of working with sellers is that they are leaving!  I have some fun email pen-pals to keep in touch with now.

Looking ahead

According to the NAR, pending home sales increased in November for the third-straight month and have reached the highest level in two-and-a-half years.  Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the NAR has indicated that home sales are on a sustained uptrend. “Even with market frictions related to the mortgage process, home-contract activity continues to improve. Home sales are recovering now based solely on fundamental demand and favorable affordability conditions.”

This is such good news for buyers and sellers alike.  Over the last quarter I have met with several people who are considering a move from their current home – I have several properties in my pipeline that are gearing up for listing sometime during the early spring market (for example: a Spring Ridge condo, a four bedroom colonial – in Basking Ridge and another in Branchburg, a five bedroom completely renovated home in Basking Ridge, an adorable four bedroom ranch close to town and another one a little larger….).  If I, only one agent in Basking Ridge, have this much pipeline then I can only assume that my active listing peers also have healthy outlooks for the spring market.

A message to all the buyers who did not find that perfect home over the last year…. this Spring is YOUR market!
