Big things are happening here: it’s spring break for Bernards Township, we are planning a celebration for not one but TWO upcoming graduations, being fully vaccinated means I was able to spend a WHOLE day with my parents without my mask on! Our youngest daughter was accepted into her program of choice at Montclair State and our oldest will be graduating from Rutgers next month. Life keeps on keeping on and right now, it happens to be very good!
It’s the SPRING MARKET and we have been super busy. Busy enough that we have welcomed a new buyers’ agent: Maria Flatley. Maria has probably shown more houses in the last three months than I have in the last three years! We have buyers writing offers, more buyers writing offers, and then buyers writing offers.
Wait, did I mention that we have buyers writing offers? LOL!
Seriously, almost every listing is attracting multiple offers. What we know about making offers stand out in a bidding war seems to change every day. When everyone knows the tricks, you need to come up with new ones. You need to get creative. Or you just have to offer a lot of money which might meaning dropping your price range so you can bid up and stay within budget.
While I love our business, it is disheartening to have to deliver bad news time after time: I’m sorry, we didn’t get the house…. But each loss brings you closer to a win; I firmly believe that. So don’t despair, we’ll get there!
