Weichert recently recorded its highest average Open House attendance for a weekend since May 2005. With more than six visitors on average attending each of the company’s Open Houses, there is no doubt that buyers are back. In addition to this recent milestone, Weichert had a great showing during National Open House Weekend. Throughout the weekend of April 20-21, there were more than 3,100 Weichert Open Houses with more than 21,000 home-buyers in attendance.

The latest industry news offers an encouraging outlook for homebuyers and sellers:
- The National Association of Realtors (NAR) said the national median existing-home price rose 11.8 percent year-over-year in March, the strongest increase since November 2005.
- In March, builders broke the 1 million mark on homes started for the first time since June 2008, according to the Commerce Department.
- The NAR Pending Home Sales Index has been above year-ago levels for the past 22 months.
- According to CoreLogic, 1.7 million residential properties regained equity in 2012.
