“The Secret Garden” at Ridge High School
Ridge High School will be presenting the musical “THE SECRET GARDEN”, based on the beloved novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Mrs. Megan Kern, Ridge High School Theatre teacher and Drama Club Advisor, directs the production.
The story surrounds ten year old Mary Lennox, played by Angie Cocuzza a 10th grader, who moves from India to England and in to her gloomy Uncle Archibald’s (played by senior Nick Siccone) manor. He is heartbroken over the loss of his wife, Mary’s Aunt Lily (played by senior Emma Granowitz) who had left behind a special, magical and very secret garden. Mary makes friends with a young servant, Martha, Drama Club Vice President Briley Condor, and Martha’s mystical little brother Dickon, Drama Club President Peter Hughes. With the help of a robin Mary finds the key to the garden, and her adventures continue on to discover more hidden secrets within the manor and its maze of gardens.
